It was extremely difficult to finish reading. I usually love the genre and i admire the author. I have read countless Elizabeth Lennox novels. What i absolutely hated was how Hayden suddenly became a simpering idiot, who could not longer stand up for herself. How she was so absolutely in love with the man. I was so inspired when the novel started of with she had " told him of" and "given him a piece of her mind". However she became another simple fool all in the name of love. There was no reason to make her become a complete pushover who could not long think for herself. I have read novels by this authors where the "lady" though she may have had financial or emotional or whatever type of issues still stood her ground. IN these cases not only was the heroine respected, the book mildly sampled reality |
